Anyone writing a substantial amount of biz...quote, bind, issue directly from your website or website leads?

Nope.
Why does a carrier need an agent if this is the agents business model?

I do believe this is the way of the future, just think agents value will be diminished a bit as it rolls out more and more.

Do you mean leads that came in from my website? I do quite a bit from it. They send the license numbers, VIN#s, etc. and we can close the deal via email.

I would never want the client to have the ability to bind a policy from my site though.

yeah, captive that's what I'm thinking also The leads are starting to come in faster than I expected with the ezlynz rater installed....I'm trying to get the most effective way to close'm as quickly as possible. Seems like credit card downpays are the only way to go?

Not exactly the quality of business I'm used to writing but it's not costing me anything so I'm thinking I might just go after some more of it. Lot's of "tire kickers" until we installed the instant rater

1manshow, can you explain a little bit how the ezlynx rater works, we have been considering adding this to our website. specifically, can the consumer get a quote right away or does it need to be completed by someone in the agency first? If the customer does not complete the form do you still get the info that they did input, so you can call them and try to complete the sale that way?

We have that on our website and they should be able to get an instant quote. Ezlynx will keep the information that has been input for the quote. My problem is I don't know how to get them to the website to do the quote.

Are you finding that the customers are putting in accurate information?
