It's kinda depressing, got in the business mainly because I wanted to make a fresh start & make a living doing it.

Thing is all I do is cold call people, is there more effective ways of getting leads than wasting time just calling people. Would rather call people who want the supplement or requested it.

What is the most effective ways to market supplements?

Which companies I can get the best leads from?

Dont buy leads until you are comfortable selling insurance, otherwise you will just waste your money.

Find Frank Stastny, he has a good program to put you in the right direction.

I sell medsupps and all I do is cold call. Ive bought internet leads, done seminars, and bought direct mailer. cold calling is the only way to do it. Talk to Frank then keep track of your numbers. its easy to think you are calling enough people when in fact your only making 100 to 150 dials a week. wich is not enough.

As a new agent to Med Supps and insurance you should be writing at least 2 to 3 apps per week. There could be any number of reasons why you are not selling more.

You may not be targeting the right people or geographic area.

Your telephone presentation on the initial call may need to be improved.

Your knowledge about Medicare and Med Supps may be not be strong enough to sound confident when you answer questions.

If you are letting the prospect control the conversation it will be very difficult to get them to agree to an appointment.

You may be trying to "sell" them a policy as opposed to educating them and selling yourself.

Not enough info. Are you working captive? Did you go straight to independent agent? I wouldn't recommend anyone go independent without working in a training environment first...

You are doing something, or multiple things wrong. I dont care what you are selling, if you are putting in 40 hours a week and that is your result, you need to re-evaulate everything. Work with Frank, find a local mentor, or find a new line of work before you are broke.

I call and call many people, usually they dont answer. The ones that do already got a plan or their covered by something else.
