2010 AEP Humana Plans

I got the same letter from UHC that everyone else did. In my state there were 8 counties that are becoming no commission counties. However, UHC is pulling their PFFS from each of the counties for 2011 so it is of no factor. Except I am losing renewals on a lot of business.

No you're not out in left field- particularly if you didn't receive the amendment. The counties are quite large and not at all dual exclusive. The clients on SNP chronics are being 'migrated' to other HMO's and retiree plans in that arena are incredibly limited and those are the one's I worry about, since those HMO's are not commissioned and no outreach for support. I won't start a rant here, I sense a rigged strategy regarding the UHC SNP moratorium and other MA's permitted in those counties.

Thanks Bob. Must go start certifying!

Unless I am so far out in left field I'm playing football, these areas are where the lower income beneficiaries are, correct?

If that is the case, then one is to assume that these are dual eligible products - primarily. While I don't mean to pass any judgment on low income members, if they are paying next to nothing for their plans, then why should a rep be reimbursed the same as they would for a regular Medicare Supplement or Medicare Advantage Plan.

Yes, you wind up spending the same, if not more, time with these folks; however, you can always choose to NOT work that part of the market.

You are up against the WALL in LEFT FIELD!!
The PREMIUM a Med Advantage client pays has NOTHING TO DO with the REVENUE created for the carrier by that persons enrollment.
I market ZERO PREMIUM MAPDS here in Florida to millionaires and paupers. They create MAJOR revenue streams for the carrier.

So in closing BOB............ There is no such thing as a REGULAR MA Plan Vs a Dual Plan as far as what revenue is produced for the company.

Have an Obama Day and carry Pepper Spray!

There has been quite a change in ICA hierarchy here in GA and I don't know why. Evidently something unrealistic going on in corporate world has staff saying bye-bye.

I find more screw-ups regarding commissions so a repeat alert...make sure you download your current certification as you pass your tests.

All I can say at this time.
