My Humana renewal specialist said they were granting requests for a change of renewal date so that the client can have a late 2013 renewal, and therefore a late 2014 renewal date too.

All of these deferrals may not be good. Sure it helps us even out the work flow, but it also means the nation is well into Obamacare before the shock and awe hits everyone. You might read in the newspaper that friends and neighbors got 90% rate increases, but if your plan is the same rate, you wonder if that news is real. Then the bomb explodes for you, too. Those kids on parents' plans until 26 have an awakening at age 27, too. So do employees on group plans where the employer is delaying the decision. This dilutes the effect of rate shock, right at election time in October, so I expect the administration to relax more rules so that there are administrative delays.
