5 Star for FE

Re: 5 Star?

5-Star is a good company. There is no company that is going to cover every base. But they are a good solid one to have.

Feel free to call me if you have specific questions.

Re: 5 Star?

Yes it's the Armed Forces Benefit Association.

They have a final expense product. It's very similar to Columbian's application and underwriting but the premiums are lower.

They do point of sale interviews with POI approvals OR give the agent the choice of letting the company call back and do it later.

Rates are in the ballpark of RNA. Usually come in a little less than Monumental but they all have their sweet spots.

They pull MIB but no script checks.

They are just now introducing their graded benefit product. Up till now they just had preferred.

I DO have a recruiting contract with them and can offer good commission levels BUT I only accept agents that have some experience and good credit. I also prefer my agents to be in Indiana, Kentucky, Ohio or Tennessee.

I am only interested in agents that plan to sell a minimum of $20,000 annually with 5-Star. They don't have to be your main carrier but I don't want to contract agents that have no plan.

If you don't fit that description but want contracting info, I can forward you to the right people.

Honestly I haven't used their FE product, their underwriting time on it took a little too long in my opinion.

But overall as a company we do a lot of business with them in the Military sector and have met with their current president and board, they can be a little uptight but you can't beat their prices (in most areas) and the fact that they only pull MIB.

Their underwriting time takes the length of a phone call. They have point of sale approvals on their FE.

The products that are for military only may take a long time but not their FE.

Really? Well I apologize for speaking too quickly. Like I said I didn't have a lot of experience with their FE so I appreciate you shedding some light on it for me.

PS: I may have mis-spoken when I said their underwriting takes a long time, it would have probably been better to say their processing, again, just my experience. Either way I appreciate the info.

Thanks Newby!
