9 Good Reasons To Operate A Insurance Sales Call Center:

#1 - Financial assistance will be available. Depending on the agent's abilities - the lease agreement and any lead expenses can be negotiated to be deferred to a later date.

#2 - All agents are contracted directly to their respective carriers, we don't pay anyone anything. They receive a 1099 from the carrier. In the Sales Center concept - we are only leasing them a booth with certain amenities. We also have a lead program providing pre-qualified leads and live transfers. Agents aren't required to participate. Actually - our lead program is available to anyone wishing to buy into it.

The Sales Center provides a suitable business environment that any independent Insurance Agent is welcome to participate within. Should the agent be contracted through certain preferred carriers within our hierarchy - and should they produce certain levels of sales volume - then they will pay less for their booth space. Simple.

#1 - Actually - I can recruit wherever there is a Craigs List. I do it everyday lately. 5 more today. 2 in GA and 3 in SC. With the Insurance Sales Center - we can do it anywhere there is space, electricity and an internet connection.

#2 - See #1.

#1 - The agent is paid by the carrier - not us. The agent knows the deal upfront. We don't call the police down here in south Georgia - we will handle it accordingly.

#2 - This is between the agent and the carrier. We don't pay nor debit our agents on their insurance commissions.

#3 - Actually - if it happens - the Sales Center Operator will handle the situation. Naturally I can't be in many places at the same time. Business will be conducted as business, in a professional environment. Should someone take it to the extreme I'm sure they will be handled appropriately.

p.s. - Hey STI - gettin' good with the "quote" button . . .

OH so young and inexperienced... he will soon see as we all have and all have tried to tell him. His biz model has changed 500 times in the last week!! Just flat Bizare

Tom,

Not true for Craigs List. If you had a call center say, in Atlanta you will constantly need to recruit within a 30 minute driving distance....licensed agents.

You will not be able to run CL ads in the same area, week after week and pull the same results.

For this to work you'll need to get a list of licensed agents in GA, then tweak it by zip and send 'em mailers.

You're trying to stack your theory against my reality. I have a GA friend in MD who doesn't a lot of recruiting. For the entire state of MD on CraigsList he gets about 10 responses per month - and this is the Baltimore/Washington area.

LOL - I've owned and operated several companies. In the mid 90's I had a chain of Pager and Cellphone stores in GA and SC. I actually had the very first no credit check cellphone. We put the phones in the company name, wrote a script that interfaced with the carrier switch and the phone would temporarily deactivate if the minute threshold was reached. We got $199 down and $99 for 100 minutes with free nights and weekends.

In the late 90's I started and managed a MLM Travel company, that when we sold in early 2002 (after 9/11) - we had over 5,000 independent travel agents.

Running a large operation is easy for me.

Yes - I admit I change a lot - but - I'm not afraid to do whatever is necessary to make a plan work. We don't launch the Insurance Sales Center concept until tomorrow - so good thing for this forum to give me good ideas.

p.s. - Direct News From My CPA :

Mr. Coleman - After reviewing your business plan, we note the following:

Since your company and/or the Sales Center Operator doesn't "compensate" the independent contractor - there isn't an "employee" relationship, nor a 1099 relationship.

The "working" relationship is between the agent and their respective carriers. Your concept as stated only provides ancillary products and services to independent contractors.

Be sure not to instruct any independent agent that they must follow a particular schedule, other than your posted hours of operation that the building will be open, or make any required purchases in order to participate in your lead program.

#1 - Craigs List is great. You just have to know how to fly under the radar so to speak. I use them everyday. Great Results! Actually - my only source for new agents.

#2 - No problems so far. With the Insurance Sales Centers - we already have interest from people in Augusta, GA; Savannah, GA and Jacksonville, FL wanting more information on the concept. This from just one simple blast via Craigs List over the weekend to see if there was interest in the idea.

#3 - Actually - the only licensed agent we seek is the Sales Center Operator, and even then unless they are a felon, we can get them licensed. Most "booth lesse's" will likely not presently have an insurance license, but rather be salespeople from other markets - ie: Real Estate, Mortgage Brokers, Telemarketers - really any type.

We'll show them how to get licensed, get appointed and how to convert pre-qualified leads into sales.

Thanks again for the feedback.

Tom,

The best idea is to recruit people and get them licensed. I think your idea has some merit but not too much for currently licensed reps.

Hire 'em - get 'em licensed and that's their job - then you have a shot.

Tom

Did he not in prior post and threads(bk thread) indicate this was already up and running and he had posted results and income he was already getting from sales?

Agreed - except for the "job" part . . .

Experienced agents already know how to make money - they don't need me or the concept, unless they like the idea of getting quality pre-qualified leads and having a place to go to do business and get away from the house.

However - I have had a few people from the forum email me and IM me for information on the Sales Center concept and also on utilizing our CSR program.

Our CSR Call Back Leads and Live Transfers are not the cheapest - but they are pre-qualified based on the buyers wishes & they are exclusive. But - they are only available if purchased in bulk and with a 4 week purchase agreement.
