A Lesson on Patients

I learned that patients was such an important virtue to have today. Went to an appointment today, met with a man that started everything off by saying I already have everything planned out and paid for.

I asked him why did he send in the card. I was trying to see if there was any need, that way I knew to either move on or stay and work the lead further. He said he did not know why he sent in the card. I instantly wanted to get up and leave, but decided to stick around and see what I could do. I asked if he had a policy in place and he said yes. I then asked if he knew what he paid a month, his response was I have no idea my son takes care of that.

At that point the son woke up and came to see who was at his home. I talked to him found out the client in fact had no insurance in place and they needed something for him. Walked away with a $66 a month plan for him for $10k.

Would have lost that sale if I had not been a little patient. Just thought I would share. Has anything like this happened to any of you guys?

Yeah sorry was typing fast on my phone and it picked that and I did not look to see what it picked.

I'm a talker and I will stay in a kitchen or on a porch and shoot the breeze. I will even shoot the breeze with a prospect that obviously has no interest or money, sometimes too long and sometimes just right. On more than one occasion a family member or friend stops by and joins in and I end up selling them. Opportunities are out there grab em.

I've been walking these streets at night, just trying to get it right.......

I don't believe anything they say. When they tell me they are all set, I just take a look around and I'm pretty sure he might be fibbin' just a little. Make them prove it. If they say "not interested" I make them prove it. If they say "I'll take the one for $52/month", I make them prove it by signing the application.
