Connect me with a CICA Contract

I just called Manhattan earlier today and was told by a woman that the UW will call applicants for a PHI after e-apps are submitted. I asked her if I could call UW with client at time of app and she said no, it has to "get to underwriting" first.

Do they ever do PHIs? Is the e-app instant decision now?
Manhattan is the only hospital idemnity carrier that i know of that does a phi and Rx check on a plan. It's ridiculous . I'll never use them

Think that should have been that they MAY call if needed not WILL call. but you should call SL&C HO direct for questions about the life product. 801-538-0376. You get through quicker and get more accurate information. A friend just had two issued last week. Took three days from app submission to notice of approval. They did not call the insureds as far as we know. One 50K om age 38 and the other 25K on a 67-year-old. My initial comment just addressed the ease of the eapp process. None easier when it comes to signature. As for the company, I never had any problems with them and found them very easy to deal with. others may have a different experience.

I've never written one of their indemnity plans since Philadelphia American offers better coverage for less money for most of the people I've dealt with.

Super helpful. Sounds like a good price buster to keep in the bag.
