I'm reviving this thread because we missed another insurance related movie.

Pitfall (1948) with Dick Powell, Lizabeth Scott, Jane Wyatt, Raymond Burr.

Dick Powell is an insurance adjuster who falls for Lizabeth Scott while her boyfriend is in Jail. Consequences ensue.

Not quite Double Indemnity caliber but interesting and well written.
