A Rude Obamacare Awakening

The good thing is that this is an election year and most everyone with rate increases are going to have to deal with it right around election day. Hopefully impacted Americans will vote with their pocketbook and vote anyone out who supported the Health Care Legislation.

While there are numerous problems with the law, my biggest problem is the government mandating a minimum level of coverage and at such a level that doesn't make sense for healthy Americans who can afford to pay out of pocket for some routine and emergency care.

Nope. The low informed voter will blame it on the republicans and vote democrat again. Just look at the 2012 elections for proof.

It's cute that you have high hopes though.

My guess is the CNN poll is accurate, even though I don't like CNN.

I have a friend who qualifies for huge subsidies on his obamacare plan in CA. So ACA helped him in that regard. HOWEVER, the reimbursement rates are so low that very few doctors in his area will accept his coverage, especially any of the better specialists. The plan happens to be with Anthem Blue Cross but a recent need he had for a specialist revealed most of the ACA plans were treated that way by the doctors. So even though it helped him to obtain affordable coverage, the quality of the coverage is very subpar. He says he would rather have gone into savings to pay for a non-obamacare plan so he would have access to decent quality care.
