I don't understand modern phones, but don't you just look up quick trip on some phone app? (I have to look for them for the bathrooms, but I just drive down the street and look.)And give them a list of the nearest "Safe Spaces".

I'm sure you can. I can't do very much on them either. I'm not smart enough to operate a smart phone. I just used the GPS for the 1st time last Sunday.I don't understand modern phones, but don't you just look up quick trip on some phone app?

I used to have phone books for all the towns I worked. Most of them had the local street maps in them.Paper maps?
My foray into selling was an effort selling books door to door while in college. Cell phones were in cells at the side of the road and the gps app didn't work.

A lot of gas stations had street maps on the walls. If you go back far enough, you could get directions at the Post Office in small towns, even for the country folks.I remember delivering pizzas using maps. There was always one huge map on the wall broken down into grids. You would know if the address was in B5 or E2, find it on the map and hope to not get lost on the way there.
I did have a cell phone though. It was huge and I got charged by the minute (except after 9pm). That helped.
I had 2 milk crates full of phone books and maps and just pitched them recently.I've got a crate of maps & map books in the garage. Not sure why I keep them!
