I replaced a policy from aarp.. female non smoker 66 paying 110 a month for life for 30k in coverage. We went to rna royal prime for 20k in coverage for 20 pay and 69.00 in premium. She got approved on this policy. She was only with AARP for a month or so. I remember looking at her aarp policy and seeing some writing that at age 80 there is a group change, etc. but I;m not 100% sure what type of policy she had as I didnt see the name.. I know they offer whole, term and I was told things that they go to age 80 then re-rate them. Can anyone tell me what she had based on the $110 a month for 30k for a 66 yr old female non-smoker.. I went on and on about how at age 80 this policy will rate will change, she might not get coverage etc and I;m not sure if I did the right thing.

A bit backwards. You need to know what she has first. Then if you can put her a better place, you replace.

Sounds like their term policy. Have you gone onto their site to check it out?

In the PMs you sent me you sound like some one ready to go get it. That is great, but your GA needs to earn their $$.

It if it's their term, it doesn't change at age 80, it ends. They have no coverage once they reach age 80 and a day. The premiums go up in 5 year bands. If she is 66, the next premiium increase would have been at age 69. It would have gone up again at ages 74 and 79.

They do not a whole life policy. They have a UL. It does not end at age 80 nor does it have any automatic rate changes. It does say that they raise the rates at "any time".

You need to know what you replaced, but, you put her in a better place with RNA's Royal Prime than with either of those AARP products. She has a better rate that is whole life and guaranteed to never increase in price and she has the RNA member benefits.

There is nothing to be concerned about, you did a good job.

Luke send me an email and I will email you a copy of their term. [email protected]
