I'm speaking mostly about Humana . Humana had a disastrous outlook of earnings for 2024 of $16 and est's were $32. They by far had the highest claims ratio of any carrier . They said on earnings call " we must protect our margins vs enrollment growth " . That's key word for cutting medical and benefits big . Why do I key this conversation on Humana mostly , Humana has been agents nationwide favorite carrier the last 3-4 yrs I'd say . It means any high vol agent has a big book of Humana and is vulnerable . To be fair other carriers mentioned higher claims in their earnings report . But they didn't have near the lose ratio of Humana. We'll see the first looks in 4 months . I'm preparing myself to having to move a lot of plans . I hope I'm wrong . I got a lot of people on the same plan for 3 yrs now . At the 3 yr market on mapd people get antsy thinking there might be something better out there .I'm not sure it'll be as bad as you think. It might be. But I'm not worried about it.
I was told Obamacare would end MAPD for good...
