when adding content to a site, does it matter or not whether you spread the content throughout different pages of the site, vs. putting most of the content all on one page (i.e. a blog)?

I think, which I could be wrong, but you want to spread it out to many different pages..

As much good content as possible on as many pages as possible is best. Having a regular website or a blog is fine, having a blog as part of a regular website may be better - if you actually write on it.

Targeting a few keywords per page is good, but don't think you need to put 500 hundred variations of the same keyword on a page... that's generally called keyword stuffing.

Try to create pages where it makes logical sense to have them. It's people you want to get to your site and read your content, so make sure it makes sense from a person's perspective.

that's what I figured Mark. but the real question is how much of a difference, and how thin should the content be spread out?

from an agent's standpoint, spreading content around is better. but from a potential customer's standpoint all the informational content would be better organized and user friendly if it were all within just a few pages (vs. hopping all over the site, looking for information)

When you add to a blog, you are creating one new page for each post. Google Analytics may see it as one page, but Google should see each post as an individual page.

The information that a prospective client needs to buy should be well organized and easy to find. However, not every blog post is going to be essential to the buying process.
