Adult Child Coverage Under Parent's Plan?

Hi everyone, I have never written a policy yet where there is an adult child (under 26) living at home and parents want to include him in their policy. My question is, does the adult child's income get included in the income total for the family application or only the parent's income? Thanks!

Probably not. The child probably files own return.

Is the child a "dependent" on the parent's taxes?

If so, their income factors to the household.
If they are no longer claimed as a dependent, it does not.
