Agent Selling Quotes on Ebay

Wow, that seems a little shady to me. I wonder if Ebay has policies against that sort of thing?

I don't think there is any current Ebay policy he is violating. He is paying a listing fee and is just using Ebay as another marketing mechanism for quotes but again maybe I am wrong.

No true. Ebay listings cannot contain external links. Also, it's clear he is not selling anything yet generating revenue for the vendor which means Ebay doesn't collect their fees. This is a clear violation.

Hummmmm....

Thank you for your interest in a free insurance quote. I have seen that you placed a bid on the item. Just to let you know, because this is a free quote, there is no payment necessary after the auction ends. I will mark the payment received and leave you positive feedback for the transaction. I would appreciate it if you would do the same for me as well. If you have not done so already, to receive your free quote, simply enter your info into the quote box and click "Get Quotes" on the auction page to get started. Thank you very much for your interest and God Bless.

HE could be kicked off of ebay for doing this. He is also selling feedback.

It does go directly to Insureme, which may be construed as inventive or desperate depending on how you look at it.

To me, the fact that the fine print shows that by submitting the consumer is agreeing to have up to 8 agents contact them is pretty scary.

I don't see the real time shared leads having much of a future. I know that several of the health insurance carriers are starting to do a lot of analysis on profitability for agencies that do 70% plus of their sales from shared leads.

Even a well buttoned up sale can fall apart if enough agents are hitting them after the application has been submitted. It also puts them in a drip campaign for any of the agents who bought the lead for at least 90 days.

I think the lead vendors are seeing this too, which is why first Vimo and now Prospect Zone are buying or building an agency channel to funnel leads into.

HA...I am the highest bidder for this one,,,,,,

Technically you didn't buy anything because I did not require you make any payment. I have even left you positive feedback for the item. I have done everything in my power to help you. There is nothing else I can do for you besides refer you to a customer relations manager since the online form is not working for you.

I am affiliated with them, but I do not have access to their data that they keep on file. The best thing that I can recommend is try giving them a call and ask to speak with a customer relations manager. They will be able to access your files and let you know what is going on.
