Has anyone here been through this? I have an interview sometime this week and I'm wondering what kind of questions they might ask. How can I best prepare for it? Thanks.

If you are breathing and have good credit you are in.

Personally, I'd prepare by making sure I was no where near the phone at the time of the interview. That way I couldn't answer by accident.

But if you are serious. Just be yourself. They want to hear someone who is serious about building a business, believes enthusiastically in Allstate and opening an agency, and a person who knows that there will be challenges but it determined to succeed. Don't be negative, and don't get sidetracked on any discussion about how rates increases may make things harder for you. Also, talk at length about cross-selling, particularly life and investments. Find out if Allstate runs a bank with saving and loan products. If so, be all over it, talk about how you plan to move them.

Hey sorry guys. I should've been more specific. I'm applying to be a business development agent AT and agency under the owner. I'm also in Canada, if that matters. Let me know how that might change things. Btw, what is considered good credit? If my FICO is above 700, is that ok? Thanks.

The credit situation shouldn't matter since you are not opening or purchasing an agency.
