Please i need some advise . i have been selling FE plans for 2 years now. But the cost of leads and charge backs are making me reconsidering if i want to keep going. I have been offered a position in a allstate agency they offered me. $2080 dollars salary per moth plus 3 % commision on all the bussines i bring in and if i do good they will raise my commision to 6%. Is this a good deal? any advise will help thanks

Not really something I'd go for. 3% commission is just too little.

I'm a licensed agent with Allstate and would urge you to negotiate with them or look elsewhere.

Best of luck!

That's basically a $25k/year job plus some commissions.

Have you considered other lead sources and working on your sales process to address the chargebacks? Might be easier and more lucrative.

1.) How old are you

2.) What's your work history

3.) What's your education level

4.) What's your income over the last 2 years

How large is your FE book? Instead of going into a completely different direction with PC, why not learn about Medicare, and go cross-sell the demographic you are already familiar with, and have built relationships with over the last 2 years?

$17-$22 per month times 300 clients is pretty good residual, and you will no longer care about the occasional FE charge back.

It might be a little late for this years AEP, but there's always Medigap which can be sold year round.

Talk to JimmyUT in the FE forums, He transitioned into Medicare after building a decent FE book.

Talk to your upline about how to improve your numbers, and then compare what he says, to what the top producers are saying in the FE forum.

Charge-backs can be managed with a little tweaking of your marketing demographics and sales process. A good up-line should be able to help with that.

And if you're not getting the help you deserve, finding a new upline should be your next step.

Charge back might have to do with type of clients that number is kind of high. I had this same issue on p and c a few months ago. When I refocused my charge backs went down 40 percent.

Run away from Allstate as fast as possible. I've not come across an Allstate client that was written properly.

Unfortunately many of them are quoting as many people as possible with cheapest price with coverage not in mind.
