I was wondering if anybody could give me their take on starting a scratch agency with Allstate is it recommended or should I run? Heard its challenging but is it a good company? Please let me know any thoughts

It all depends..what state are thinking of opening one?

I did lots of years with allstate and sold my agency last year. Allstate is not bad once you have a nice book. I would not open a scratch agency in the current conditions. Try to buy a small book with them and build on it.

I will leave to the guru's here to correct me if i am wrong but i do suggest working at allstate for awhile to learn the system first.

you will have to do so many things once your the boss that trying to bring in 40 items or more is not attainable. unless you work 12 hour days.

also, allstate will be on you like hawk wanting for you to sell sell sell.

let me know forget staff. what pain in the ass.

as was suggested by a guru, it might be better to buy a book.
