Am I Charge Back Hell?

I got started with EFES in April. I expected charge back hell in September. But it never came. Then I was good in October too. November came and went and no big deal. But the last two weeks has been torture. I am getting lapses from every direction.

I am doing my best to conserve this business. Calling and dropping by. But dang, this hurts.

How long does CBH last? What's on the other side?

----------

Also, my clients all get birthday cards and I just sent out over 100 Christmas cards.

It does seem that most agents hit that wall at about 6 or 7 months into the business.

Yeah I hit it 7 months in. Just keep selling and push through. I know the feeling, you start hating to check the mail lol.

Maybe it has something to do with the shopping season...idk

All the more reason not take more than 6 month advance...Those 9 and 12 month advance checks look good coming in but they cause a lot misery when the lapses come.

What do you think your average premium is? Some people buy more than they can afford. Anyone I'm concerned about i write them a smaller amount. If they pay it good i go back and see about increasing then. Hold your head up, don't get swamped with them that often. You'll come through it just fine.

Best moves I've made have been to eliminate completely the three choices and regularly referencing FEXQuotes in selecting which plan to recommend.

Help them apply for coverage they can afford, judge their comfort level not by what they say, but by their facial expression and body language. As was said earlier, use a two step process on some where they get started with a program they can keep, and agree to add more in a year or two.

From day one I never worried about it. Everybody has their own way of dealing with it. I can tell you that my experience is that 20% of what I write will not stick so when I do my numbers at the end of the week I discount it by that because I know from doing this long enough that is a real hard number and it will not change. Best advice is keep good numbers for your self and just work the numbers and the numbers will work for you.

Yep, went through it over the summer... it soooo sucked!

however, my wife delivers ALL of her policies and builds a really strong relationship with the clients and never went through CbH.

She is actually mailing out her client Holiday cards this week and yes, she did them all herself without using Send Out Cards.. which is what I am supposed to be doing right now..lol
