Although it only mattered in appearance and as a talking point only considering the AMA has no more than 17% of all docs as members, a rescission has been made.

Resolution to rescind AMA's endorsement

As I reported yesterday, the American Medical Association's endorsement of the House bill has split the group and opposing factions are working to reverse the nod at the AMA meeting in Houston this weekend. Here's a copy of the resolution to rescind the group's stamp of approval:
AMERICAN MEDICAL ASSOCIATION HOUSE OF DELEGATES

Resolution:
(I-09)
Introduced by: Alabama Delegation Arkansas Delegation, Georgia Delegation, New Jersey Delegation, South Carolina Delegation, American Academy of Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery American Association of Neurological Surgeons, Congress of Neurological Surgeons, American Society of General Surgeons, Trilogical Society
Subject: Withdraw support of HR 3962
Resolved, that the House of Delegates of the American Medical Association rescinds the action taken by the AMA Board of Trustees supporting HR 3962 the Affordable Health Care for America Act.

* Me thinks 2010 will be a high "six figure" year.
