An "Honest" FE Mailer?

Just went to website,

Two FE lead pieces

Both had "255" on card

Not one mention of the word(s) "Life Insurance"

You need to call them. They don't put all their lead cards on the website. They will send you all of their available lead cards via email (at least, that's how they work with me).

That is an unheard of closing ratio....CONGRATS JD!! I see why u only need 15 leads, while most would need 20-25 to get your production. That must mean u see 12 out of those 15 ppl (great appt ratio) and sell 1/2 or 6, wow!!

I know u dont door knock much, and I'd prefer not to, but from what Ive learned I think I will have to so I wont burn thru leads- I cant afford not to sell some. I know u posted about appt making somewhere on here....but if u had to boil it down to 1 or 2 things, how are u seeing such a HIGH % of ppl without them saying NO on the phone & much door knocking??

Please share....

I see no reason that a person can't make appointments with 10 out of 15 leads. Maybe not at first, but as time goes on an agent can consistantly see that many.

My goal is to have 12 appoinments per week. I usually get that many. Usually 2 or 3 per week are from referrals.

People do say no on the phone and people do say no in person. That's just part of the job. A great closing ration is 30%. That means that agent got told no 70% of the time. Actually it's more than that because many of the sales are 2 apps.

I hate doorknocking and only do it as a last resort, but I do some doorknocking. I have only 3 appointments scheduled today. I will do possibly do some doorknocking this afternoon. Only if I have a no show or two, though. I'm well over my weekly goal this week so, if I keep all my scheduled appointments I will be done for the week. I'll doorknock those people the next time I'm there and have free time.

I'm no marketing expert but maybe using a dash of humor coupled with reality (I think it might be sarcasm) might create a spark of interest or action.

For instance:

WE HAVE GOOD NEWS! You have earned a $255 DEATH BENEFIT from the government. Isn't that FANTASTIC?

Well some of you may be thinking these people must be nuts! $255 isn't going to do me or my spouse much good at all. If that's how you feel then mail the postage free reply card back now.

Let us show you how our life insurance program can get you or your loved one the protection you deserve. You are just a step away from securing $10,255 in protection.

ANYWAY I'm just typing out loud here but I get a little annoyed seeing the same mailer with the same message. Would like to see a little twist on it myself.

Gotcha JD, good info....and when I said they say "No", I meant their typical "send me something in the mail, i dont have time, I dont remember, etc" excuses they use when u call. I'm TERRIFIED of that happening after Ive paid $15-30 for the lead depending on the source!

Ironically, Im NOT scared to try to make the sale in their homes, cause I've done that before...if I blow it there, I'll get it right quickly & feel I'll LUCK into some too. But calling, that's a diff story! If u could repost the link or info u posted on appt setting & over coming their objections so u at least get to see them, I'd be GRATEFUL!!

PS- If JD were lic in Calif, Id split him 1/2 my 1st few deals if he's teach me to get 12 out of 15 appts!!

Hell, I'd bid 100% of my commissions on my first few deals. He is a "trolling" machine.

I have never used it, I just saw it today searching FE Mailers.

I live in NJ, if someone received that piece, they would think the "Bad Guys" are after them. :goofy:

I really like that piece. That would at least make me pause. Where the other piece would go straight into the can. Then again I may not fit the other piece's target market. That piece reminds me of some of the SOC samples I have seen.
