I saw a lady today that 16 months ago was diagnosed with an Aneurysm and Emphysema and smokes. It looked like AmCon would have taken her immediate but she uses a nebulizer daily. Does anyone know of a company that will take her level? Thanks.

Ron

monumental level standard

Aneurysm within 2 years
Ever been diagnosed with Emphysema

Results in 2 yes answers in B3 so it is graded.

The bad thing about this was I was going to write it Monumental to begin with because they were priced right.

I have been doing some research and calling today after having a tooth pulled (broke it eating a jaw breaker) and it looks like someone with an aneurysm as well as copd outside of 12 months have a chance of getting level with Forethought and Assurity. I will call Forethought tomorrow. One thing to remember about Assurity is that they do not approve based solely on the yes/no answers on the application.

Good point Ron. Also helpful to take a look at the most recent agent guide in which they give details as to how they will likely UW. They do change that guide every year or so. If someone only read the app they'd say if someone has COPD they are a decline and if they read the UW guidelines they'd find out it depends.

ForeThought is unpredictible too. Worth a try. I had someone that could honestly answer no to every question but since she took Plavix for a short time several years ago they will only offer graded.

I agree totally. I just want to know the rules of the game and if I think something could be iffy I am going to call the company and not just assume the company will take it.

I am still trying to figure out their niche to try and work them in to my plan. Do they pay within 24 hours as well without the fee?

Yes. They have a HUGE niche. It's people who need the money ASAP when they die, people with grandkids under 18, people who see value in the accidental benefit, people who are familiar with and trust the brand...

The only problem is once you sell them on the company, they often rate them up over things that every other company would give prefered rates.

Yes. They pay claims within 24 hours and they have for over 25-years.
No. They don't charge a fee for their own policies. That wouldn't make sense. They DO charge a fee if you have any other company's policy and want ForeThought to advance the money for THAT policy within 24-hours. The fee is because ForeThought is giving a short term loan to get you the money now and they wait to be paid from the other insurance company once they settle the claim.
