Says he's currently taking Simvistatin and nothing else. He said in winter of last year (sometime between TG and Christmas) he went to the doctor because of chest pain. Tells me his doctor couldn't find anything wrong. Doc prescribed him with some sort of nitrate (doesn't remember which RX) for a few months then the Doc discontinued the RX because they couldn't find any sign of it.

TA Immediate Solution offers standard rate if >1<2 yrs. Oxford and several others offer preferred after 2 years. This event occurred less than 1 year ago.

He also applied for a fully UW Term policy from another carrier about a week ago. He said he also shared this same information with that agent and the agent said "it shouldn't be a problem...after UW reviews the lab results they'll make a decision and let you know". I'm still new to this business, but I can't imagine any carrier offering any kind of immediate coverage other than graded for Angina <1 year (term or WL).

I explained that the rate they quoted him was very likely Preferred Plus (lowest rate) and could easily be rated up much higher or even increased to Graded when the decision is made. I also explained the difference between Term and WL. He said, "well now that I think about it...I don't want term".

He was wanting a WL policy in addition to the term...he was also prepared to pay $75/mo for the term in addition to $100/mo for the WL I offered...so this is a potential to write a WL application for $175/mo premium. I really want this one. Any help is appreciated.

Angina within 2 years is a no go with most carriers, however there are a few options that might work...

Lafayette, Sterling Investors, Gleaner, Washington National
