Annuity Marketing

"I would look at their Platinum product instead. 5 year MYGA at 3.5% (the one that you referenced, their Plus product, averages out at 3.6% YTS)

Platinum is account value at death...Plus is surrender value. That could leave a pretty unhappy beneficiary and the agent trying to explain why those 10 basis points were so important.

Just my 2 cents."

Hurry up with the Platinum as (I think) you only have another 6 days or so to write that.

I'm trying to decide where to stick marketing money of $1000 or so a month... Any suggestions?

There are a lot of ways you can do marketing with $1,000/month. Although seminars have become less effective than they were in the past, they do still work if you have a good system in place. Internet marketing is another good way, that route will take some time if you plan on doing it organically or if you plan on doing ppc, that will cost you a lot of $. Have you developed a referral relationship with any CPA's or attorneys? That is a good strategy as well.

Prospect on,

Josh

p.s. pcbinsurance is correct, the F&G 5 year myga at 3.5% is a promotional rate they are running. For anyone planning on marketing to it keep in mind all apps have to be submitted before Dec 13th to qualify for that rate.

Same holds true for the original product being discussed.....

Most companies seem to be lowering rates at the moment. At least the more competitive ones.

I think its only temporary. 10yT rates have retraced back to summertime highs. Employment numbers came out today and where better than expected. All of this points to 3%+ next year on the 10yT. Which obviously would mean a boost for FA rates. (along with a boost to the insurance industry in general)

Didn't check, but how could you not jump on that and tell people, it helps them re evaluate the market in 5 years after things hopefully smooth out (wink)..

I sent out a mass email, got a handful of replies. I just want to do maybe a postcard mailing in a nice area I know.
Problem is I don't want them to take the post card and go to the local Fidelity office...

The local fidelity office won't know what they are talking about.

I wouldnt worry about that. Just do it.

I was told once by an experienced agent not to be too detailed on my website so the prospects do not take what I have wrote to another advisor and hand them the sale.

Another agent who runs a sucessful website told me to forget about that and be as informative as possible. If you loose a few to other agents oh well. But by doing it, you will gain far more than you will loose.

If you do it, you might have that happen to a few... you also might have a few call you and do business.
If you dont do it, neither will happen....
