Hey y'all. My name is Katie Smart, I am a territory manager in Texas for a workers compensation company. I found this site when I was researching selling tips for those of us who are forced to telemarket to set appointments. I've been doing P&C for 10 years and have been both a captive agent as well as an independent. Anyway, I am excited to see what diverse ideas everyone has.

DO you have much success with Telemarketing for P and C ?

I do have good success. I ususally call to try to get infront of them though, I am not trying to sell my product to them at that point. Just trying to get an appointment. Since I cover the entire state, this is the best way I've found....so far anyway.

I've been doing outside marketing for a couple years , and I've tried everything I could think of so far,but your right an Introductory call
followed by the in person appointment is the best thing I've found so far.

Where do you generally get your leads from.

I am an Agent with numerous non-resident licences including your state- - my authority states Pers Lines Prop and Cas Agent, Expiration Date 05/04/2011.

Just thought I would touch bases with you- - there may be some projects that we can work together on.
