I'm sure a lot of the veteran agents are sort of used to this, but I was amazed at the number of Christmas cards that I received this year from my policyholders. This did not happen often in auto sales, so it was a pleasant surprise.

I can't describe the feeling I felt when I would open one and it would have a nice handwritten note from my client. It almost felt like getting a card from family.

I really like dealing with the seniors and this just gave me affirmation that I am selling the right product.

Is this type of relationship common in other areas of insurance? I would think that it would be because of the fiduciary type of relationship between client and agent.

LOL you'll never be able to sell other lines now. You're being SPOILED! :D

wow, thats awesome! I am just starting and I am getting hugs from many of my clients when I leave. It does feel great knowing they appreciate our hard work (and are not going to cancel next month!!!)

Not only do I get Christmas cards and hugs, Jacqueline and I have been invited to birthday parties and anniversary parties. They have sent me home with cookies and pies, one client makes awesome cheesecakes and if I'm going to be in her area she insists that I let her know and she always makes a couple for me to take home.

Since I work only in rural Missouri, in the summer I get tons of fresh vegetables right out of their garden.

I love my seniors.

I get "You Bast**d! My Fu**ing rate went up 20% again. What are you going to do about it?"

Don't you just "love it" when they make disparaging remarks about your heritage?

My seniors don't use that kind of language, most of the time anyway. When I hear that I just switch them to a less expensive company and they are once again "happy campers".

I know where you can learn to sell Med Supps. :D

Oh my God I am laughing my A** off. If you did annual reviews they would not be talking to you like that! I stay in close touch with my clients with cards and phone calls. I have one who told her son that he has a white sister now.
I have a great system for follow-ups and getting referrals. They actually call me and thank me. Go figure. Got to luv this business.;)
