Any FE agent lifters here??

This isn't intended to be some pissing match.

There was no part of what I said that was incorrect, so I'm not sure what you mean when you say "incorrect".

You did not do a standard deadlift. No powerlifting competition does deadlifts with a trap bar.

It's widely accepted (been this way for decades) that saying "my deadlift is XXX" means you are referring to the standard deadlift movement.

I'm not saying you should do it that way. In fact, for safety reasons, it sounds like a good decision that you're using a trap bar.

But it doesn't negate the fact that you're deadlift max is not "375". It's in fact much lower.

The correct statement for you would be "My trapbar deadlift is 375".

Basically what you did was give me a backhanded compliment. You said in essence "Great job, but you are doing it wrong". Im not looking for a pissing match but you are speaking of mechanics in a lift. Not strength. I choose to do it the easier way which in fact is usually the smarter way.
And while you say "it doesnt negate the fact that you're deadlift max is not 375" my response...according to who? Competitors? I dont compete and never will. Powerlifting associations? I dont care. What I posted was what I do, it is MY deadlift max the way I do it. I compete with only one person...myself. Why would you put so much effort into shitting on someones progress...never claimed to be a competitor and never claimed to be an expert, albeit I do know more than the average bear about lifting.

Furthermore...id love to see a vid of your deadlifts....straightbar or trap bar, doesnt matter to me.

And again, you are a purist...I am not. I dont care what has been done for decades, this is the way I do it. I just dont understand why you would shit all over someone....I guess it takes all kinds. Waiting for your deadlift vids......

Here is my "TRAPBAR DEADLIFT MAX" of 385lbs.:D:D Is that good enough for you Insuranceman???? Cmon bro, lemme see your deadlifts, or are you an armchair athlete. I seriously want to see them...and hey if you can deadlift with a straight bar and like it, good for you, personally I think they make men more feminine, but thats just me:D:D:D

You can lift far far more than me bro. I don't lift at all. You got me in the strength category :)

I wasn't trying to put you down. I was just trying to make a correction, but I can see how it would viewed as a putdown. Sorry if you took it that way.

Again, great progress and keep it up.

You and Dave should do a lifting video together.
