Anybody know about this 110.40 part D charge for immunosuppressive drugs?

A new MA client who just signed up for part B for jan 1 after delay because of group coverage sent this to me today for clarification. He does not pay a part B IRMAA.He did mention today for the first time that he had previously been taking an immunosuppressive drug.Would this apply to him or is does this appear in all medicare beneficiaries letter as general information?

Beginning in 2023, individuals whose full Medicare coverage ended 36 months after a kidney transplant, and who do not have certain other types of insurance coverage, can elect to continue Part B coverage of immunosuppressive drugs by paying a premium. For 2025, the standard immunosuppressive drug premium is $110.40.

Just him.

It's for ESRD patients.

Seems like he forgot to tell you about his kidney transplant.
