Anyone Active in Broward County / S. Florida?

I have! and... it took me 9 months and 3 IMO's to learn what I am going to tell you now... Drive to the West Coast or work Central Florida if you want to make it... Any Rural Area will do just fine...

People in the city Keep their Doors locked, hide from Cold Knockers and will tell you to get off the property without giving you a chance... On the other hand... In Fort Myers/Naples, Etc..., I have had people Invite me in before I even got up the Driveway and got to open my mouth...

I would say that is true depending on what your main focus is. If you are selling Advantage plans and Med Sups, you can do very well in that county and that will open the door for other products. I think if you focus just on Life it may not work, but it could. North FL is also a great market.

I agree with the North Florida comment.

I've lived and been all over Florida and would not attempt to knock doors in Broward or Dade County or anywhere in the Miami/Fort Lauderdale area. Reasons are many to include safety and I spent 20 yrs in the Army.

That said, I would not hesitate to knock on any and every door from Lake City to Pensacola.

I would agree, the last statistics I heard was that more then half the drivers in that county don't have insurance.....:1baffled:

Well, rather than get smashed in the S. Florida metro I have my wifes parents who live in Pahokee, FL. I can do Pahokee, Clewiston, Moorhaven, and Bellglade which are all small town areas and much more rural... sugar cane fields near the everglades type areas... its about a hour and twenty minute ride and i can crash there a few days to test it... would that be way more productive?

I don't think some of these guys on the forum realize just how dangerous certain neighborhoods and areas in Florida are. I almost got shot last week and all I did was knock on a relatives window. It was a few light taps.
