Received a call from a lady at the SBA wanting to talk with me about my EIDL. I was hunting so I missed her call but when I got home I called her back. No answer so I hung up. Then a minute later another lady calls and ask if I want to increase my EIDL. All she asked was what my gross commissions were in 2019. She then said I could get this enormous amount of money and the new loan would be added to my old loan and payments would be deferred for 2 years again. Same terms as before.
My original loan wasn't very much but I have been thinking about paying off my house so I asked her if this could be done with this money. She said as long as I have a home office and conduct business there it is legal. I got her number and told her I would think about it. She made it sound like this program is swimming in excess and I should take advantage of it. Sounds too good to be true to me. You got to be careful how you spend borrowed money from the SBA. I do not want to be audited. Since when did a government agency make calls soliciting their loan program?
