I am wondering if anyone on the forum has any experience with Assurant Health and the LEGS program for new agents. The program as explained to me is this: you basicly buy your own leads 300 for $250.00 I believe and then for every sale you make you get 12 new leads with 80% commission. Is this a good way to go when first starting out?

My bad. You are right it's actually 23%. Is still a good way to go?

Only if Time has anything to offer. They have been so far off the mark in so many states for so long I can't see a reason to prostitute myself for a few free leads.

Can I get any serious answers. I am new to this an just thought the forum would be a good way to get some good advice to start out. I can laugh as much as the next guy but can I get some serious more appropriate answers?

I am dead serious.

Time pitched me on the legs program last year and again a few weeks ago. I practically laughed in their face.

They have not fielded a competitive product in Georgia in probably 4 years. The only way to sell their crap here is to either find folks who are deaf, dumb and blind (of course those conditions will all be ridered) or sell them Right Start and lie about how great the coverage is.

If they were half way competitive, and knew how to underwrite, selling $100k would be a cake walk. $100k with them is like $60k with anyone else.

Contests and spiffs are only good for you if they are good for the client. In this case, I can't find a way to make it good for the client.

In my state, Assurant is very competetive in specific niches. Best plans for people under 30 by at least 10% in price. Best maternity plan by miles and miles here as well. Their leads are pretty good too. Some are internet and some are actually telemarketed with some good notes and info. I like their leads better than ANY other form of purchased leads I have used.
