New to insurance, not new to sales.
I've combed all the forums for info on Torchmark, United American and National Liberty and understand they have a less than desirable track record. Even with that being said, I still also believe firmly that a great manager with any (even sub-par) organization can be a fantastic leapfrog to a successful, lucrative career.
I've seen some posts from agents in SC, and I'm curious if anyone on the forums here has worked for Peter Schettini with Torchmark in Charleston, SC. I went through the group interview, and had a second interview this morning. At this point the ball is in my court. Through my own due diligence and research, I'm skeptical, but still not completely running away yet. I'd love to hear from anyone that's worked under Peter, or even better yet, that has come in new to insurance under Peter in the Charleston branch. He says he's been the BM there for 8 years...
