Anyone know anything about Asset Marketing Systems?

I recently contracted with them, I've been looking at their material for a very long time. and their marketing programs are first rate.

I'll most likely take a shot at doing their business related marketing programs.

What kind of money commitment do you have to put up? I have been contacted by them several times to sign up, but we're talking thousands here, if i recall. Just got an invitation for a dinner seminar by one of their proteges in this area, and I know he's been doing this for 4-5 yrs so must be successful.. I also noticed that his choice of restaurants is kicked up...( good sign)

I could not help myself but had to put my 1 cent in here. Literally. Since I'm so new to all of this (the annuity part) and if my thought is even worth 1 penny - here's my million dollar question.

If these indy FMOs that are also marketing or have marketing systems in place such as a 'system' that's guaranteed to work no questions asked or your money refunded - like your Cipriano, for example to name one and a few others who claim fame, then why in the heck are they not out there cleaning house themselves? Okay, I know, they want to share. Right...... :skeptical:

I thought greed was one of the primary motivators?

Where and when did I miss this lesson? Okay, I must have had my head down in class. Can somebody please explain?

P.S. My post is intended with much sincerity. I am seriously speaking here. On this forum, I do value many members' advice, knowledge, and experience and this is why I'm begging the question here. So I hope I did not offend anybody by writing what I wrote but again, if these systems works so well, then why are they not engaging in this solely themselves?

It depends on what you do with them. You do not have to run seminars to work with them, they have lots of marketing ideas. I could not run seminars in my area with them until the guy that held the territory retired late last year, so I was doing a few other things with them.

An FMO like Asset Marketing Systems, American Financial Marketing and so on are a far cry from a Dean Cipriano outfit who promises you can make $$ in your underwear, sitting in your living room watching reruns.

It's all about reputation as well, you get to know someone by what they deliver, and then you make an informed decision.

You don't make a decision based off a killer ad in the Sales Journal.

I used to use Asset Marketing and have nothing but good things to say about their organization. Unfortunatly, like many here, my Broker Dealer now forces me to clear all EIAs and Fixed annuities thru them so my relationship ended abruptly.

I accepted an invitation for the weekend at their offices in San Diego a few years ago. Met some great folks and some of their big producers. I have a friend that has been involved with them for several years doing seminars about "safe money" investing. You can get a protected territory for seminars but you must commit to so many seminars a year. They help all along the way and have a good support system. You must be committed to selling and marketing annuities, especially IA and VA. I decided against joining, although I still talk with them occasionally.

I just got back from Atlanta where I spent two days in a training session AMS organized. We had 18 reps there. Two of them are doing over $25M a year in FIA's. Most of the reps that were there are between $5M-15M producers. I learned a lot, and it is events like this why I work with AMS. They have these opportunities about 6 times a year.

Before working with AMS I was writing around $2M per year in FIA's, plus my life and securities business. This year I am going to write about $6.5M in FIA's and my life and securities business has grown nicely as well. In 2008 I should be able to write $10M in FIA's. Without AMS I am not sure I could have grown this fast.

I only know 2 agents that do work or have worked with them, both of them make 7 figures a year, I am switching B/D's so i can hook up with them.
