"We want you to know that we haven't stood still since the first of January; we've made some important adjustments to increase our sales power. We've streamlined the number of producers, which means fewer brokers will be able to sell our plans. Plus, it allows us to provide you with privileged access to our concierge broker support team where chairman-level producers receive priority service. You can reach our concierge service by calling 1‐855‐TOPBRKR (1‐855‐867‐2757), or by emailing [email protected]. We believe this consolidation will help our brokers be an even more dynamic group in 2017.

Congratulations on achieving chairman status!

You are now part of an exclusive group made up of our best brokers. We want to recognize your special chairman status within Aetna, so we've created a seal for you to post on your website or other electronic media."

hey - how about PAYING US for starters . . . .:D

It's an automatic email that is sent to agents once their book of business reaches the level for payment at the chairman level. It's surprising that you would receive it in mid-year, did you recently write a SEP application(s).

If they have been paying you a lesser amount per person, per month, you will now receive the higher level commissions.

No haven't written any SEPs in U65 for them since they're not paying us. The memo went out with the title:

A more powerful force - you are part of an exclusive group made up of our very best brokers--Individuals and families

In the subject line it was titled Aetna & CoventryOne - more powerful than ever in 2017!

I've been at the "chairman" level for commissions since they made up those names. This memo indicates that 'fewer brokers will be able to sell their product' now . . . .

I'm also at the Chairman level and haven't received the email, perhaps it's regional (and makes no sense since you are already being paid at the higher level unless they are increasing commissions in your area in 2017)

You slay me! INCREASING commissions? My guess is your comment about it being regional may make more sense - I do know another agent who posts here & has been in the business a long time, that referenced the same memo - and he's here in Missouri - so that's probably it.

I recognize the chance of commissions being increased is pretty much less than zero but it is what the email says, right?

It's almost like it's a mistake, that they assumed you were being paid at a lower level and now, miraculously, you have just reached the higher level.

Is this the crap they discuss in their board room meetings? They left out the discussion of the important golden parachute plan for themselves.
Yeah those brilliant people at the boardroom who get a salary and benefits decide to cut commission-only producers... then those producers will go sell some other competitive product... brilliant!!!

I've been chairman level since they rolled it out.
I got the email too. 20 apps to hit this level. Which was day 2 of OEP.
They sent it out based upon your 2016 level production, it just took them 6 months to figure it out and send an email.
