I was wondering if their modernized plans are reasonably priced compared to the other carriers.

They take good care of the client and the agent so I wouldn't mind re-contracting with them again, but I haven't any info on their new plans.

This is United American of Dallas, TX not UHC.

TIA

Haven't seen the new prices, but I'd be dang surprised if they were even close to competitive. They haven't been so for many years.

I am really surprised to hear someone say that United American takes care of their clients other pay the claims like they are suppose to.The way I look at it here in Florida is UA has always been the company that trains agents to somehow convince prospects that their plan F was worth about 25% more than another companies plan F because of some sort of extra special benefit they had included their plan F ( perhaps a life or annuity policy?) that other plan F's don't have. They are even worse than the waiting in lay in the bushes ,door knocking ,tag teaming Banker's Life agents that scare the hell out of prospects who are thinking about signing up for anything other than a Banker's Life overpriced Medicare supplement but at least they are not as prevelent.

With all due respect to those who do knock on doors and follow all the rules but these guys are often selling PDP with the supps so they shouldn't be cold calling.

I was going to say the same thing, but I didn't want to turn this into another anti-Torchmark thread, which would be perfectly fine with me, actually! I despise that company and all that it represents...and in case their (beak-faced, boneheaded) lawyers are watching, this is purely my opinion. So stuff it, bitches!

I feel better now... :)

Sorry about your bad experiences. We all have some to share with various co's. My history goes back 20 years ago when they were really competitive in the senior mkt.

Anyway, I found another possible source for info, so thanks to the posters.

The last time I said something negative about United American, they sent me a nasty letter to inform me of my contract cancellation. They did me a favor.

haha...seriously? Was it something you said on a forum...this forum, by chance?

I know a GA who has (this was a couple of years ago) who had a 60 point contract with UA and guess what, he still couldn't bring himself to sell that crap.

And to see the price of their Plan N being in the stratosphere...guess they aren't trying to be competitive there, either. I just wish the whole thing would go away. They are nothing but trouble and only cause problems for both agents and their clients.

And yes, this post, like my previous one in this thread is purely my opinion. That opinion may change at will, on a whim or for no apparent reason whatsoever. It's still an opinion so, again, to the beak-faced bonehead lawyers who may or may not be reading this...stuff it, bitches!

:D
