Does anyone have any experience or can recommend an appointment setting service for Commercial P&C?

did you ever get to learn the answer to your question? If so will you please share?I am a newbie and trying to get as much info as possible.
thank you, Skenderbeu

No I never got a response so I put an add on CraigsList and my phone has not stop ringing! I hired a TM and am paying her $15 hr. In three days I have 12 appointments! I may have to start selling the appointments.

My company can provide calling lists.... if you give me some criteria, I can go to the drawing board and put together a proposal based on who you are trying to put your agency in front of.

As for as appointment setters to make the calls, craigslist is great. If you hire internally, it is much more cost effective than outsourcing it.

You can hire a telemarketer on an independent contractor basis so they are paid per lead, not hourly.

With so much unemployment, there's a lot of people looking for work and you can profit hugely from this fact.

$15 a hour may be to much $$.

How many hours did it take to create the 12 appointments?

Im kind of curious really about one thing. Using telemarketers to get appointments for businesses? Are you doing this because you don't have much business going on? If so why don't you just call, and also writing big business is tough. Especially for new agents. Im not saying its impossible but the guys are out there that really only do commercial. I personally enjoy commercial myself but when it comes to a big company it can be a tough sell.

Usually those big companies at one point in time got locked into the best insurer for their line of business. Then they get a few claims so there go the pretty loss runs. Then when they request the loss runs because you are shopping it the other insurer finds out and waives their audit or something crazy for that year. When it comes to actually finding a big business to write 95% of the time you aren't going to get it.

This has been my experience with commercial p&c. I still do it and like doing it, but i wouldn't have some telemarketer doing cold calls.
Especially when the TM doesn't even know the business or how to sell for that matter.

Just my two cents.

Hello,
The ad you placed on Craigslist, was it to hire a telemarketer, or to advertise your commercial insurance services?
