I am a newly P & C agent working for a Independent Agency In Pa. I know I am not directly appointed to Insurance Companies, but do I have to be appointed under my employer. Or can he just pay me without Insurance companies knowing I wrote the policy. I am a 1099 Independent contractor with his Agency.

Re: Appointments

The agent should get a subcode for you. Everything you produce should be under that sub code.

Re: Appointments

in a perfect world you would get a sub-code. In reality, it's probably not going to happen. Maybe after a few months to years of working with the agency, but right away it's unlikely.
