Hi, I am new to the industry and I have heard rumors about companies that already have client appointments set for the agents. Is this true and who might they be. I have also heard that this is usually found in life and mortgage insurance. I hesitate to tell you this but I currently work for AFLAC! I know, I know I have read all 32 pages on what you guys had to say about AFLAC and I am feeling the same way. I have gotten burnt out really quickly. I just want to work independently for a company or two in which my prospective client already is in the market or knows that they want insurance not calling a business or person out of the blue and trying to convince them that they need it or want it and potentially wasting my time. Also do you have any suggestions on any good and affordable lead engines and what are a few life or l&h companies to look into in Ohio. I just am not sure of what my next move is because I probably am not able to think clearly with the lack of steady income and all.:goofy:

"American Income Life's executive offices are located in Waco, Texas. AIL is a wholly owned subsidiary of Torchmark Corporation (NYSE: TMK), based in McKinney, Texas." I worked for these people for a few months and they set appointments for us.

They scheduled all of the appointments for us (usually five per day). Sometimes these were not good appointments with no shows and so forth and for that I blame the people overseeing the telemarketing. They use a free accident policy (ours was $1,000) to get the foot in the door. They play the union card real strong we even had a membership card to show. Part of our presentation was to ask for donations of canned goods to help other union workers either laid off or striking. Softened them up for the sale. We sold small dollar amounts of life (packaged as final expense) and accident coverage along with cancer policies. The prime market was the lower middle class down. It was not hard to do, I closed the first time I ever presented.

Don't know that I would recommend them but they set appointments for us.
