Are these Numbers Possibly Real?

NAA was recruiting me a while back and I ended up on their text/email list. I get texts every weekend about production. One guy did 13k, another did 8k, and a new girl two weeks in did 17k. The guy sending these texts uses old "B" leads for himself and his whole team. Are these numbers possibly real? I realize they do mortgage protection in addition to final expense but those are some huge numbers - especially for B leads.

So you think these texts are just lies or if not how are they doing that production?

In every industry, be it in sales or not you will find that select few that will excel above all others. Call it having that "burning desire"...call it "drinking the Kool Aid". Even the devil has his "second banana" (talk about the ultimate "burning desire").

So, yes, I think it's possible...even with them. If you tracked it you'd most likely find that the same few people are hitting the top of the list on a regular basis. That is...until they realize there are better things "out there". Then they'll be at the top of someone else's list.

I've gotten similar emails the last two weeks from NAA.

I would say they are real numbers. When I was with NAA the numbers they put on the leaderboard for me were the real numbers.

That person that did $17,000 might not ever hit anything close to that again though. That's the problem with cherry picking. All IMO's do that. They will tout what their top 2 or 3 agents do.

Thake any recruiting talk with a grain, {or block}, of salt.

I spent nine months at NAA and was consistently on the top leader boards, so I can tell you that those are real numbers. One thing to keep in mind - they credit you about 5% (depending on commission level) on annuity production as well, so place $15K in life premium in a month (very average) and write a $200,000 annuity and you find yourself in the top 15 or so nationally. That's part of the reason you see some crazy numbers, many times it means someone found a big annuity.

I'm pretty sure that anything in an email is required to be truthful. In fact,...Oops, gotta go, got a fresh "press one" lead coming in!
