I'm self-employed but had no income for 2013. I estimated my income for 2014 as $11500. The eligibility results that were generated for me is asking me to provide estimated proof of income for 2014. Since I'm self employed I guess they would need an unemployment ledger.

The problem is they don't know where to find an employment ledger. I found something that might work at wwwDOTstateDOTsdDOTus/eforms/secure/eforms/E0990V1-SelfEmploymentLedger.pdf

Does anyone know of a better one or what to do? It seems ludicrous to ask for proof of income for a year that hasn't occurred yet.

Thank you,

Cat

What's your deadline date for providing this proof of 2014 income? If it's before the end of 2014 it might be a glitch caused by a poorly designed system. There are hundreds of them.

Some people work the system better than others.

Be prepared to pay back the subsidy you get.

I thought the biggest clawback they could do was like $200 per individual? :nah:

Every time I've seen a request for more income information it's given a ton of choices to send in, kinda hard not to come up with at least one of them because they aren't exactly concrete. The deadline is in June?

I saw your "nah" emoticon, so perhaps you wrote this in jest.

For those with income over 400% of FPL, the clawback is unlimited
At 300-400% of FPL, it is limited to $2500 per family ($1250 per single)
At 200-300% of FPL, it is limited to $1500 per family ($750 per single)
At less than 200% of FPL, it is limited to $600 per family ($300 per single)

will the insurance company do a csr clawback if you bought a $250 deductible, used four thousand dollars in medical care, but actually you should have had a 5000 dollar deductible?

I have probably 20-25% or so of applicants who are required to send in proof of income for 2014, and the deadline for any requirements specified in the eligibility results letter is always 90 days, with the exact date given to the applicant.

Occasionally, it's proof of birth or naturalization status, depending on how the verification process works.

We discuss paying attention to the date specified in the eligibility letter, which the insured receives in the mail, or has elected to "view online". I am not sure how that works, and how easy it will be for the applicant to do, so I usually save their letter to pdf and email them a copy when doing an online app.
