Automatic Medicare card issue for social security recipients

I have a client who will turn 65 years old in June, 2021. She is currently receiving her late husbands social security benefit checks since he passed away about a year ago. I know that individuals who apply for social security benefits prior to turning 65 will automatically receive their Medicare card one to two months before their 65th birthday, but I'm not sure if this rule will apply to this client since she is receiving her late husband's social security benefit- and not her own. I think it probably would- but I want to be sure. Thanks.
