Hey Pete,
I will give you a non-smartass response.
My opinion is, they suck!
I submitted one case with them earlier this year. They were incompetent, rude, and beyond slow! The case was never issued. I had to use Aetna instead.
From what I have been able to find, they have a very comprehensive maternity coverage. VERY expensive, but would be nice if he can keep it wrapped for 18 mos.
Sorry, I had to put something smart assed in this post.
I am a sales representative for Avalon Healthcare. We are a small, but growing company based out of Tampa, FL. We offer high deductible PPO plans as well as a very competitively priced HSA plan in several counties though out Florida. Currently we are paying agent comissions of 30% on individual policies. We will accept type II diabities as long as they are taking non injectable forms of medication. I know there were a few pieces of miss information thrown out in this post, and I wanted to clear up any questions that anyone may have about Avalon.
If anyone has any questions, comments or complaints pertaining to Avalon I would love to hear them all, good, bad or indifferent.
