Hi:

I am having a really BAD experience with USF marketing (was Cold Solutions). I purchased $2,100 worth of leads/appointments which is 3,000 mailers. Only 1,400 have been sent to date and I've gotten back 82 post cards. 82 is very high from 1,400 mailers from my information gathering. Also they claim to have used a up to date database from NY when I complained about the ratio. Out of this I have had 4 appointments they have generated. Out of that 1 appointment resulted in a sale, 1 appointment had to reschedule due to a dying son, 1 appointment the person is still working and was unable to keep the 6pm time and the final 4th appointment he didn't have the annuity in his name!

Frankly they have not lived up to their own hype (We will keep your calender FILLED with prequalifed annuity appointments!) and I feel cheated out of $2,100. The one sale I made did make my money back, but when you pay $2,100 you expect to at least triple your investment not break even!

Also due to sending a check, per their request, I have no recourse as they have not filled my calender with appointments!

So BEWARE!

That is almost a 6 pct response rate ! That is very good.

As far as appt setting. Not sure from your description what is going on but I ran pre-set appts for several years for annuities and if 1 out of 3 appts were good it was a good day. If I sold 3 out of 12 appts it was a great week. If the appt setter set one appt out of 10 cards it was a great percentage.

You should be setting your own appts from the response cards if you dont like the job they are doing. I'm not sure your expectations are realistic. I have no idea what they have actually promised or suggested is possible from your post, but the response rate is not the problem.

They still have 1600 pieces they have to mail?

Assuming that mailing goes like your other one you might make 2x your money. The other two appointments who cancelled could be rescheduled. If one of those works out you might make a bit more. Maybe 3x.

I heard Cold Solutions was not very good. Those 82 cards that came back (if you have their addresses) you could DRIP mail post cards to them.

Their advertising of keeping your calendar full sounds like hype on their part. Your expectations are probably too high as well.

I'm guessing that the 82 returns were bad addresses, not actual responses, or there would be no complaining. I'm guessing this since he went on to complain about 'up-to-date' lists......

The thing is, people are moving a lot right now. Not so much by choice, but the sheriff is knocking saying 'get-out, you don't own this place anymore'. This has all mail lists out of date.

I'd take a 6% response to my mailings any day!!!

Yeah, you are probably right.

6pct is too good to bitch about ;)

I agree with everyone else. If you have worked the annuity business at all you probably know of bogus companies. I got burned on one that just preset appointments thats all not mailers. They were terrible and lost money, but 6% return in this business is way above average.
