BCBSGa PEPM Commission Implementation Postponed

So we get yet another delay from BCBSGa group on their changeover to PEPM comp. First is was Jan 1, then June 1, now they don't know, but for sure not before Sept 1. Is this happening with the Blues in other areas?

Same thing w/ Anthem here, at least on group coverage. Individual is still percentage.

Depends on the PEPM comp. With Anthem's new setup I'll make more on a smaller group with PEPM than with the percentage they are paying now. People with larger groups are probably the ones getting stiffed since the PEPM comp reduces at certain group sizes.

Same here - with small groups with bad health at 4.4%, it might be a pay increase, larger groups not so much. My math skills stink and I haven't taken the time to try to anticipate what the pay is going to be. May never have to if they continue to delay.

First group I wrote like that (another carrier) resulted in a 50% pay cut.

Even if you break even the first year you get clobbered the next as they expect you to sell the rate increase without getting a pay raise.
