Bonita,
Hello everyone, I am new to the biz... been lurking for awhile... reading and learning alot!

Time to come out of my shell and starting asking and interacting.

I have a couple of female prospects who are diabetic:
one is 57 takes 50 units in the AM and in the PM

the other is 44 and takes 10 units daily

What are my best options for these gals?

5-Star is probably the best diabetic choice right now. Royal Neighbors and Oxford are good too.

Insulin dependent diabetes is one area where EL&C is competitive as long as there are no complications of diabetes or accompanying vascular or heart disease.

UHL will have new rates coming Dec 1 (supposed to be more competitive) and changing the age on application to actual age rather than age nearest.

They are not changing the rates, they are changing the modal factor. It will be less for monthly payers, the same for annual payers.

It's nice they came into this century and went with age last.

The new modal factor will put them about in line ratewise with the middle of the road carriers, Foresters, Settlers, etc.

They are still Farm Bureau and that's enough reason to not use them right there for me.
