I've been using Monumental for type 1 diabetics.

RYN has better rates and give a decision at the POS interview. Monumental is ok with rates but you have to wait for approval.

Isn't type 1 on insulin? if so that's standard with Mon. Way too high priced to be considered.

Monumental standard is a good choice if they started using insulin after age 18 but prior to 40.

If they started insulin after 40 5-Star preferred is a better priced choice than Monumental standard.

If they started insulin at age 50 or older you have several good choices that will offer preferred rates.

Good info to know. I've been wanting to get 5-Star so this is a good reason to go ahead with it.

I find Americo is great for insulin diabetics...they can still get preferred rates as long as there are no other issues - need to be 50+ though.

Monumentals standard rates for insulin on people 18-50 are not badly priced. There standard rates begin to loose their competitiveness for people 60+.

Again, if her A1C levels are within normal range, and she is taking metformin, some Fully underwritten companies may offer standard. Assuming no other major medical history...If she has some other dings on her medical history, you will want to get her with a simplified issue company...Get all the information you can on her, so you can make a suitable recommendation

If she has her diabetes under control and doesn't have any other major issues she could qualify for RYN essential life product with just a table 2 rate up.
