Best Copywriting Book

I know there are a few of you on here who know a crapload about writing great copy. Please tell me what book/books you feel are the best you've read on copywriting. I've already read a few, colliers letter book, garfinkle(guerrila marketing),dan kennedy and now I'm wondering if garfinkle's "killer copy tactics",or John Carlton's stuff are worth taking a look at. Would like any suggestions.

Yes, I own a publishing company (www.adams-blake.com) and I made a LOT of money in it before the internet (circa 1993) but it is fairly dormant now... waiting for e-books to revitalize the content-info industry.

There are a ton of copywriting books out there and none of them are bad. Most say the same thing. I like this one.

It's been out there for a while so you should be able to find it at your library.

Al, that one has also been very helpful to me. I saw some of Clayton Makepiece's "Ultimate Desktop Copy Coach" for something like $1400 !!! Just wondering if some of this stuff is half as good as they claim

Gary Bencivenga may be one of the best living copywriters. He does not really accept clients and he semi-retired at a fairly young age. He has a DVD course for $5,000 (!) but he also has free archives and free tips. There is no book. He really is off the charts from everything I have heard.

Marketing Bullets

Others guys to check out include Bob Bly, Dan Kennedy, Herschel Gordon Lewis, and a few others I cannot remember.

Craig Huey is another good one.
Direct Marketing Agency - mail, email, websites, advertising services.

The good ones if they write your letter/package usually want a piece rate for what you or they mail plus upfront money.

Anything by Robert Bly is good. For 'net writing, I like "Net Words" by Nick Usborne.
