Big Transamerica Meeting Today

Are you a policy holder? For example, I get mailings from various carriers with whom I have no coverage from time to time, but the only mail I get from Lincoln Financial, as a consumer, is my annual bill. I'm really curious if they are pulling a MOO or Dignity Planning move of direct marketing to the policy holder and by-passing the agent who originally wrote the business.

No, I don't have a policy with Trans. Nor does anyone in my home.

You seem not to like them too much ... "active business prevention department," amend everything to death, and all that. I'll apologize now if I'm mistaken. I don't come here looking for fights.

Well, that's all true. They do have an active business prevention dept. They are amendment happy.

"Like" or dislike are kinda personal feeling. It's not personal. It's business. I tend to do business with companies that make my job easier instead of harder.

Trans is one that makes my job harder. It seems agents at this forum get caught up in the personal. It actually seems to hurt some feelings that I don't prefer to write Trans.

Same with settlers. Settlers was a company that made my job harder. I don't write settlers because of that. Nothing personal about it.

But the resident settlers defender tries to make it personal as his misguided way of defending them. For some reason he thinks by discrediting me and saying that the only reason I don't like settlers is personal that others will dismiss the truth about them.

That's why I asked what you thought my feelings were about Trans.

It's marketer BS to try and change the narrative.

As for having a Trans policy on myself, if they were the best fit then I wouldn't hesitate for a second to write a Trans on myself.

They have sold a mail order GI for several years under the name StoneBridge. If the Trans version is the same it has real low rates for 24 months and then the rate goes way up and stays at that level for the rest of their life.

Perfect. Cant wait to replace all that! :1biggrin:

The first one I saw had me stumped. It says whole life in bold. The rate was cheaper than MOO GI. It looked unbearable. But you look at the schedule of payments around page 3. And there you have it.

I sort of like them. However, I do wish they would shoot an e-mail to me when there is a problem with an app. I hate going to thier HO web page.
