What do you veteran guys focus on? Life, Health, PnC, investments? and then cross-sell everything else

All I can tell you is to find a niche market. Does not matter what kind of insurance it is.

You ask about cross selling. I look at it like we are new doctors. When you first become a doctor, you have to learn a little bit about everything. But as time go by, you start to specialist in one field. Example, you decide to become a brain doctor, heart doctor, foot doctor. But that does not mean that you can't still delivery a baby or do something else that you use to have to do.

I can do a little bit of everything. But I specialist in Life Insurance. That does not mean that I won't still sell you an Annuity or something else if you want it.

We all look at what we specialist in, as if it was are new born baby. We all think that are baby is the cutest and smartest. You won't be able to tell us that the baby is not.

Most Life agents dont care about Health.
Health Agents think that Life agents are crazy.
There will aways be fighting over which is better.

Best thing that you can do it start off learning a little bit about everything and then decide which is better for you to specialist in.

Thanks. My favorite is life followed by annuities. My friend has a valid point with his PnC renewals, but the constant service calls would drive me crazy. I just need to make what I like superefficient I guess.

Absolutely correct. Many agents in the beginning think they have to be experts in everything; this is not the case.

some folks just want to leave a legacy of negativity instead of mentoring. there would be no good without the bad.

Successful agents always try to help people. Good personality and willing to help new agents will be you more good.

I was told to find a niche and work that until you become very good at working it. I think that there sometimes when there are several products to offer and when there are several things to learn we newbies can do ourselves and our clients a disservice by trying to focus our attention on too many things. I am not saying that eventually we should not get around to learning other aspects of the business. Everything takes time, it almost like the old saying jack of all trades and the master of none.
